2012 Toyota Tacoma TRD T/X Baja Series Specs and Review


In the year 2012 this will display the Toyota Tacoma pre-production of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) TX (Tacoma Extreme) taken in a limited edition of SEMA Show 2011 in Las Vegas.
All Tacoma TX Steel Series model will be built exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas (TMMTX) in San Antonio and is scheduled for launch in late spring 2012.

Baja TX series is currently undergoing final testing for application on both the Access and Double Cab Tacoma 44 model is equipped with TRD Off-Road Package. Expansion to include PreRunner models are also being considered. Tacoma Steel TX series is equipped with 4.0-liter V6 engine with either six-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmission. Added another in an electronically controlled locking rear differential, Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) is currently equipped with the TRD Off-Road package, limited edition Baja TX Series adds BF Goodrich TA KO tires (LT265 70R16) and bead-lock wheel off-road style with an exclusive finish Gun-Metal Gray, TRD Cat-back Exhaust, increases front ride height is almost two inches and a unique graphical Steel Series.

The front suspension has been upgraded to include a race piston 60mm Bilstein shocks with coil springs TRD featuring a protective zinc-plated body and one-inch increase in wheel travel. The rear suspension is equipped with a 50mm piston race Bilstein shocks with remote reservoir to increase the capacity of the oil shocks for greater heat dissipation and damping sensitivity. Rear shocks also include zinc-plated body and 1.5-inch increase in wheel travel. TX Steel Series will become part of the 2012 Tacoma line is updated with a restyled front and interior fresh all the models are told. Exterior changes include a redesigned hood, grille, headlights and front bumper, among other changes. Inside, Tacoma features a design center-new instrument panel cluster with the size of the revision, along with a new steering wheel. The redesigned center stacks add a new control air conditioning and heating point locations.
