2012 Caterham Seven Supersport Specs and Review


Wow cars Caterham Motorsport-tuned 1.6 liter Ford Sigma engine, the ratio five-speed 'run' gearing, lightweight flywheel and race ready suspension with Avon CR500 tires 13 "wheels promise of crude and pure driving experience - not for the faint of heart but definitely for driving purists at home both on the road and on track.




Equipped with the motorsport-honed limited-slip differential and gearing with sports-driving in mind, the Supersport also features uprated springs and dampers borrowed directly from racer of his cousin, stiffer anti-roll bar, track bias dashboard integrated with changes to lights and aero screen. Composite race seats and four point seat belt harness race instead of the standard complete track-inspired experience.


Weighing only 520kg, the Ford powerplant will drive the Supersport from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and will reach a top speed of 120mph without breaking a sweat.
Designed for the track but at home on Wall Street, Seven new package an unrivaled punch for its price tag too. Factory-built, Supersport will cost 22,995 with fans able to purchase in component form for 19,995.
