2012 Ferrari SP12 EC

For a Ferrari enthusiast and great musician like Eric Clapton a one-off car just needed to be produced. Created by the Centro Stile Ferrari together with Pininfarina and the engineers from Maranello, the Ferrari SP12 EC is made as homage to Clapton's career and the long-lasting experience like a Ferrari owner.

The world-famous guitarist remains mounted on a particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, which he's owned three over time. So his desire would have been to drive an automobile inspired with this particular model, with influences in the multi-award winning 458 Italia. Exclusively within the latest publication of the Ferrari Official Magazine Eric Clapton discusses the love and just how the idea of a one-off car was made.

Meticulous attention in terms of style and technology was paid for the proportions and architecture from the SP12 EC - that is a a part of Ferrari's One-Off Programme - causeing this to be exceptional car even more significant. Just like music is created, using the right notes within the right places to construct a musical score, so was the creative process behind the Ferrari SP12 EC.
